CNY!

Yesterday.
Been hanging out pretty much lately. Daryl called me out to shop with him in the afternoon, while Cousins(Mum's side) came over for reunion dinner at my place. Haven't seen them for quite a while and I was quite speechless as though as they were actors in a show playing through the tv screens late at night. Decided to struck a conversation about the weather and the rest got into place.

Went out with godbro to chinatown later on in the night after reunion dinner to just soak up in the bustling atmosphere. I humbly declare orchard - dead! Or pretty much there. Its sad though to know that this chinatown tradition will die out in about 50 years time. We bumped into Dominic and his family! I guessed he was rather shocked to see us. Went around eating great food from the street stalls over there. We saw two caucasians sitting on the edge of a bar just cheering randomly to all the passerbys below them. Me and godbro were like doing the 'rock on' sign and shouting "yeah!" before settling down at a streetstall for a leg break.

Then came the good part. Two Singhs(brothers) in their 50s sitting beside us struck up a conversation with us about the sign on the table and I have to admit we had a really nice conversation with them. We later talked about english pronunciation and even listened to their frustrations at work. I was shocked when they swore but it was seriously interesting. They thought I was a university graduate haha. So who said I still look like a kid man? Went off for a drink before training home. And on the train I saw the sickest thing I ever saw a man do in public. He.... nevermind. Shan't go into details. Then I took the long walk home from novena with sounds from my headphones entertaining me.

Today.
Cousins came over to eat again. Was successfully persuaded by cousin claire to go catch a movie with her. Ya know the new jack neo movie, the ah long show haha. Its pretty funny, but not something which I would want to watch again.

Gathering for my dad's side tomorrow at Uncle Huat's place, can't wait. We have got alot of catching up to do. Cause we would only meet up due to 3 reasons per year due to the huge family and their hectic work schedule. Either Chinese new year, Marriage or funeral. Its kinda sad that everyone does not get enough time to bond with each other but the truth is that whenever we meet, we felt that as though we had already knew everybody inside out.

Anyway here are some of the pictures which I took yesterday.

Awesome german sausages

The two caucasians I was talking about

This table sign is freaking nonsense nonsense.

The mad crowd.

& the night clears its streets of its silent armies.

Illuminating.

And before I forget,

Happy chinese new year fellas. This is a time for receiving =)
