Kid: I want present!
Quite a bit has happened recently. Sometimes I wished I had a time machine to go back in time to savour every single precious moment which I have never taken notice of, or maybe just to take back some of the words which I have said because time just didn't give me the chance to.
I will have to thank Jason (not me) for today. Called me up a couple of days ago asking if I was able to volunteer my service to the community. The overall experience made me felt more than just alive once again. Anyway this was how my day went...
Arrived at the Toa Payoh East cc in the morning where a Christmas children's party for orphans and kids round the neighbourhood would be held later on in the afternoon.
So Job number 1 was to decorate the hall! Blewed a hell lot of balloons with the rest and put them up. Thankfully we have a human invention called the "Air pump" :)
Joe and mark were both dressed as a clown and santa. Yup they sure did look great. Everyone has been calling Joe "xiao bai lian" thanks to the artistic make-up skills from Edmund. Haha.
And I realized that Kids too, were tougher nuts to crack. It was super difficult keeping them under control as we carried out games but Im sure in their standpoint, they had fun anyways. Presents after presents and food were given. Some even came back for a second present when each child was supposed to only receive one. lol. I mean even as a kid, how could you not even enjoy yourself? I miss being a kid! haha
Later on, went to town for dinner with Tarci, Mark, Joe and Edmund. Tarci had to shop for stuff for his "loved one" while we, too checked out some stuff which we might buy for christmas before hitting home feeling tired and shagged. Thanks to all those who sent me Chrismas cards this year! Sorry, I don't think I will be sending out any this year cause I have been coming up with reasons of why its too late to send any. Screw myself sometimes man.
And before I forget, thanks Kaijun for the talk last night. It was very comforting. You made me realize things which sometimes I think that I might know but the truth is, I really don't. I have grew to learn Patience and Courage once again last night and I was glad to have gone to sleep with a peace of mind which I think might have not been the case if not for you.
I would like to pose this question out again after a spade of recent events in my life.
Have you ever regretted doing something and been wanting to undo it?
I have and I guess Regrets are just like... ants. They creep up onto you without you knowing it and in the moment when you least expect it - it bites.
I miss everyone. I miss messing around, doing air guitaring infront of kaijun in the morning. Miss Joseph telling me about the hot girls he see in the bus on the way to school. Miss listening to Esmond's dog and bull story about some freaking nonsense. Miss cracking infront of my caddets. Miss talking about green vegetables at parkway and the craziness and cockyness of everyone, including me.
I have taken things for granted all this while.
If only the clock would just rewind...
