Back from APLYC8 (Many Lives, One Mission)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRISCILLA!!!! :D

Alright just got back a couple of days ago from Asia Pacific Lasallian Youth Congress 8 - Singapore a.k.a APLYC8 :) Theme this year was "Many lives, One Mission"
It was held in Stpats :) I was put the liaison officer for AUSTRALIA with Gabriel. Woots you guys were great. Had to speak in their slang man. A while more and I would have lost my singlish accent haha.
Bunk was at 4th floor. bunked with Chris, Mike, Rick, Mark, Kendrick, Edmund, Benedict and Chum. Had a great deal of fun! CLIMBING THE STAIRS SUCKED! but it does bring back many great sec4 memories though. Slept on the cold hard floor while the delegates slept on mattresses but oh well im used to it already man.
Heritage play owns. I played 3 roles. Teh tarik man, Writing master and a brother. Was awesome. Everyone were wowed away by the play although we are not professional actors but anyway it was a job well done.
Picked the Aussies up at the airport. There were two batches of them. 3 from brisbane and 9 from sydney. Alright and as for the rest i shall let the pictures do the talking. After all, a picture tells of a thousand words and i have quite a number of them ;)

AUSSIES!
Gabriel on far left, and me on extreme right with our group
My sleeping area. Messy right?
Chum left us this message on the whiteboard without saying goodbye.
Dance night!

Crazy aussies on the bus ride to airport.

3 guys standing together. P.S: yeah i know you can see that

Me and James
Me and my fellow malaysian friends. I was supposed to be the ONLY lucky guy in there man. haha

Im third from left :)

Heritage Play!
APLYC8 ORGANIZING TEAM!!! HELL YEAH WE ROCKED!!! :D

Kyle - my fellow aussie wanted to treat me to food upon landing when i brought him to buy phone cards and change some cash at parkway. A conversation which I would remember most with him was this...

Kyle: So do you have a girlfriend?
Jason: Huh me?!
Kyle: Yeah i mean like your so cool and nice man.
Jason: Errr.... i think im working on it pal.

Then blah blah blah treated me to fries at macs. And later on...

Kyle: So whats her name?
Jason: Whose name?
Kyle: The girl
Jason: OH. Errr Im still working on it. Aint confirmed yet.
Kyle: Mine's Ashley
Jason: Beautiful name.

Then I came up with some crap to talk about and he wanted to treat me to more food. The aussies were a nice bunch man (i think?) reminded me of the singapore delegates last year at ipoh.

Cultural Night was good too. Countries came up to perform for everyone. Saw the hakka for the first time! was cool man. Was like following along. Singapore's performance sucked man. We sang the song "Home" by Kit Chan. yep the national day song. Did service at the one room flats at toa payoh. Was affirmed at the final OT meeting for being proactive. Its felt good being affirmed especially since after a long long time hah.

Spent the last night with the aussies running a marathon around orchard cause they were so gonna be late in catching their flight but thank god the gates were still open when we arrived. So if you think you saw this bunch of aussies and a couple of chinese running. Please dont think we are shooting a commercial, we were actually running for the sake of runing haha. They had wanted to see the lights. Speaking of lights...

And Priscilla here are the lights for you ;) This was the least I could do since you wanted the lights ALOT. Beautiful isn't it? :)

WHAT A JOURNEY IT HAS BEEN...

TIME SURE FLEW BY FAST WHEN EVERYONE'S HAVING FUN.

Aplyc9 would be held in thailand in 2010 if I remembered correctly, but I guess everything about aplyc8 still rocked. Hail to the OTs especially to the Sects and everyone else behind the scenes.

This was the official video for the theme song. N-joi.

Sorry for this rather sucky post. Shall update it another time if I ever feel like it. wahaha ;)
