Arrivals and Departures

Hanged out with my some of my fellow lasallian friends from SJI and STPATS to catch the countdown at marina bay yesterday. Met at city hall at 5.30. Bumped into Tad and Amelia. Guess they were having a date eh. Then bumped into Martin chew and his girlfriend haha. He is still as wacky as ever. He was very happy(wth?) when he tolded us he is gonna repeat j1 before going off after a short chat. Ted and Amelia were nice enough to join us for dinner at cafe cartel before going off on their own. Walked over to esplanade and we got interviewed by a news reporter! Hoped we got a chance to appear on tv. We were a bunch of guys shouting "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Channel 5 news if I remember correctly haha. Knowing that it was still early we decided to go to marina square to play some games at the arcade. Went to Carls junior later on to gossip about teachers before moving on to the esplanade. That place was super packed man. We were like running from one place to another to meet up with Belmond and also to get a perfect location to catch the fireworks. The 8 mins of fireworks were awesome shit. The fireworks also marked my 10 year friendship with Mark, Edmund and Christopher who were there with me :D Later on we had to sqeeze through the crowd to get to the main street. Got stuck at esplanade drive for half an hour man. There was this aussie with her boyfriend who were damn "hiong". Brushing her boobs against me and my friends just to get through. And the thing is she doesnt give a damn about it?! What the hell is wrong with people nowadays? Then as we were crossing the road which were packed with people literally on the street. A biker dude came "vrooming" trying to force his way through the crowd. His wheels nearly rolled over calvin's feet and also banging edmund down. I swear at that point of time I really wanted to give that motherfucker a punch in his face. Then came justice :) a Policeman stopped him! Everyone on the street applauded his actions man. And that biker dude got pulled over. He even started quarelling with the policeman which really reminded me of the times when I was an NCO haha. Walked to dougby ghout and grabbed a a bite at 7-11 before training home. When I arrived at novena, I heard the intercom saying that there were no more trains from city or towards city which means I took the last train! I smiled and took the long walk home listening to the faint sound of footsteps and the silent noises of the cars around me. Watched "signs" before hitting the bed at 4.30am for my handsome sleep.
And my new year resolution?
1. Swear less :) 2. To let those around me feel/know that they mean more than they'll ever know to me.

Its hard to say when we will meet again or work with each other from now onwards. But I just wanted to let you people know that I really cherished the time we had together. I'am ever so thankful to God for giving me such wonderful friends. Thanks for pulling through everything with me. 2007 has really been a rough, but amazing year. All the smiles, jokes, politics, sadness - We've been through it all. Thanks for all the wonderful moments and the nonsensical experiences. I really wished that I could turn back time to go through everything again just to erase all the sadness and recap all of the laughters. But I have a feeling if that happens, the joy would be gone as well. So I take everything as they come. All these memories, I will file them in a cabinet. And maybe one day I will find even more joy and happiness when I stumble upon them again. Lets us welcome the new year for its a new year. 2008 comes only once, so make the best out of it.
Let's restart and embrace. Lets all dance to a new tune :)
Pull the curtains close to 2007.
& See all you folks in 2008.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! :D
Saying goodbye was the hardest part,
wish we knew that from the start.
