DON'T WASTE YOUR BEAUTIFUL, YOUR BEAUTIFUL LIFE

Managed to drag myself out of bed for soccer today. Its been a long time since i played that sport. reminds me of the good old p.e lessons i had back at stpats where 3/4 of my classmates would beg the teacher to let them play soccer after some warm-ups. Went for guitar lessons later on. didn't jam though. but we focused on the blues which was really awesome too :)

Then on the way out, khoony and i saw this amazing guy. no he wasnt the president of the united states or any famous icon thats gonna determine the fate of the universe. He was a deaf mute actually. His name is Yarets Vladimir Alekseevich. He started his around-the-world trip journey back in may, 2000 hoping to enter the world's guinness book of records. and no thats not his main motive actually. The reason behind his drive and determination was to actually encourage and motivate disabled people to go out and do the things that they want to do. Being a disabled doesnt mean that life can stop you through its cosmic forces of gravity from doing the things you want to do. and so here are some pictures...

Thats the man.His profile. It was hard taking a picture of this. he put it way up too high.

His journey across ocean shores
and still counting...

His routes of a lifetime.

US.

He was more than happy to tell me his story by pointing out his travel route around the world on the huge map taped on this random wall. He pointed out to the sheets of paper on the walls explaining who he is and asking for a donation for gas. Khoony and i were more than happy to give him a donation. he told me he has plans to move upwards and perhaps go to beijing to catch the olympics! whoa thats damn steady for a 60+ year old man. and as i walked away from him, i felt the ultmost respect for him. So if you people manage to catch him around in some corner of singapore. do check him out.

Heres his site.

I do hope to travel around the world too, someday in my life. looking at the different wonders around and just admiring the beauty of the grace of this world =)
